Free Nature Hikes

Summer 2016 Nature Hikes

Please join the Twin Cities Charlotte Mason Community for Summer Nature Study Immersions! 

Please Bring these items to each Nature Hike:
A Nature Journal for yourself and your children along with colored pencils, and water colors, a small container of water and paper towels to learn dry brush painting.

Bring a Snack and water, sunscreen, and feel free to bring a sack lunch for two the morning hikes.

LOCATION: Eloise Butler Flower Garden Located in Theodore Wirth Park.  We will meet in the Parking lot at 9:00 am. 

    Please let us know if you will attend in June so we can look out for you!

​August 19: 9:00-12:00

Location: Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Bloomington Location. 
We'll park at the visitors center, spend the first 30 minutes or so inside looking at animals and exhibits and then hike through the woods.  You may want both Sunscreen and bug spray. Please bring your nature notebooks, water, paints, paper, paper towels for blotting, snacks and lunch if you want to stay that long.

Starting in October we will meet the third Friday of each month from 2-4 pm for monthly family hikes.  Topical Nature Study lessons will sometimes be included.  Locations TBD.
